Environmentally friendly, Moab's Moenkopi papers are made primarily from Kozo (mulberry) fibers. The mulberry fibers can be harvested without killing the plant creating a sustainable renewable source. Designed for use with archival ink jet printers, Moenkopi papers have been treated for use with most dye and pigment inks for a sharp image structure but maintain the exquisite feel expected from a fine Japanese Washi paper.Moenkopi Bizan represents the ultimate in Japanese craftsmanship. Each sheet is individually handmade by Japanese artisans at the Awagami mill in Tokushima, Japan. Made from environmentally friendly Kozo (mulberry) and Hemp fibers featuring four naturally deckled edges then dried beneath the rising sun. While Moenkopi [moe-in-koe-pee] is not a Japanese name and Moab is not located in Japan, this line of paper represents a unique partnership with the Awagami Factory in Tokushima, Japan where this line is made.
